A statement by peace-building organisations.

Released to mark International Peace Day 2019, the statement is the work of the Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO) and over 100 other organisations. The statement calls on governments and the international community to: move from commitments to action on peace in the 2030 Agenda; align crisis response with longer term prevention and peace-building efforts; protect and support civil society; and recommit to multilateral-ism as a safeguard for the most vulnerable.
