Each Monday morning at our National Council of Churches in Australia office, a number of staff gather for prayer. We reflect on the readings from the liturgy of the previous day, include in our intentions one of our member churches and one of our state councils or WCC or the Christian Conference of Asia.

Jordan is home to 600,000 Syrian refugees. Most live in urban areas on the outskirts of the city. Without the opportunity to earn an income, many are struggling to pay for even the most basic necessities, like food and rent.
